Restoration: A Wooden Chest
Another family heirloom which, overtime, became an asset in a roach-breeding program is this wooden chest. It's definitely a hardwood variety. Considering eons-old stains and no pest damage, this was an easy and apt candidate for a refurbish.
No-brainer this one: sand and dry scrub the surface. Black wall-paint for a "matte-finish" look. Gold metallic paint for the iron. A coat of varnish later...voila!!!
